Family Photoshoot at Kubota Gardens | Seattle Family Photographer

I love this family! Seriously.

I have a confession to make: when I get hired to do family photos with teenagers, a little knot of fear lodges itself in my belly. Most of the time, teenagers don’t want to be there. They don’t want to be close to their parents and eye rolling becomes a common place event for the day. I typically have to work really hard to get great family photos with teens in them. That doesn’t mean that I don’t love getting them in front of my camera. As a middle school teacher for three years, teens are some of my favorite people…its just harder.

This family – and the two teen girls in it – defied everything I thought I knew about teenagers. Despite their age difference, the two girls are best friends, and while I know I only saw a snapshot of their lives together, you can tell that they love their parents just as much. It was easy to see why. Their parents were fun and loving with them and each other. An absolutely incredible family.
