I’ve known Mike for about six months now so I can say with some authority that he is a really good person. He classifies himself as an attorney (NOT a lawyer!) and is always ready to greet people with a smile.

What I did not know about Mike was that he has such a wonderful entourage of grandchildren. He invited me to join him and (some) of his grandchildren for an afternoon at Luther Burbank Park in Mercer Island. What a treat! Let me tell you, there is nothing sweeter than watching a proud grandpa play with his grandchildren.

The cousins hadn’t seen each other in quite some time, but, in the spirit of childhood, they picked right up where they left off. Climbing mountains, digging holes, exploring the sea life. Mike was such a good sport! He helped them climb trees, pretended to be hypnotized and chased them around with an energy that I wish I had.
