A Family Outing to Kubota Gardens

At the risk of “outing” one of my very favorite places to shoot near Seattle, I’m going to let you all in on a secret. Kubota Gardens is absolutely stunning – especially this time of year – and NO ONE is ever there.

A few weeks ago, my family and I had one of those rare days where we were all off at the same time so we took a trip to Kubota Gardens. I knew my daughter would love it – so many beautiful pools of waters, colorful trees, stunning bridges, and secret paths to explore. We could have spent all day there. Here are some of my favorite images from that day – just look at those colors!

On a side note, I have decided that I can no longer hide behind the camera, so I’ve been setting up shots and giving the camera to my husband. He took the images with me and my little girl.
