A lovely family shoot at Seward Park | Seattle Family Photographer

Picking my daughter up from preschool every day, I got to know the other kids in her class fairly well. Some of them were extra silly, some were extra focused, but little Sabrina was by far the sweetest one. She would always talk to me when I was picking up Ilya and tell me about what she was doing. So, I was thrilled when her parents asked me to do a family photo shoot for them. What made it even better is that they had just had a new baby, Samantha. Not only did I get to photograph the sweetest kid in Ilya’s class, but her baby sister as well!

It was one of those Seattle days that can’t make up its mind – one minute it was thundering with buckets of rain and the next the sun came out, so I wasn’t sure what the weather would be like for us. We met at Seward Park, and the family showed me some of the secret trails that they had discovered.

The Evans family reminded me so much of my own family. The dad, Jonathan, was goofy and playful with his daughters while Lily, was all love and cuddles. A perfect combination, in my humble opinion.
